(Step 2) Get It Outside My Mind

Knowledge accumulation is just one of the many skills we have developed in the last 44 years, since we asked the questions: why did the sexual abuse happened to us? What kind of mental health state was our father in, when it happened? How can we protect ourselves from being in such a situation, again? Actually, our mind is now a vast library of mental health related  information and inspiring stories of people who have overcome their own mental health and life struggles against a lot of odds. Most recently we found a new inspiration: Lauren Rose , a YouTuber since 2015; she has overcome agoraphobia and are now helping others to not only heal but thrive in living their lives.   Dear Me, Yes, that’s you. Your image proving to yourself you were outside, outdoors! You’re squinting because you didn’t want to look towards the camera. No selfie because you’re too self-conscious that it’ll get in the way of what’s most important: getting a documentation of your strength of character. ☺️ Yes, that’s you I am describing. Look again.  See what the eye cannot see. Look within. You are a survivor, a fighter for a good life and your persistence is one if not the strongest trait of your character. ☝πŸ½πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜Šfor you! You borrowed words from your favorite mobile game πŸ˜„πŸ˜… because you’re learning ☺️ to strengthen what you didn’t learn as a child: self-love. So, here we are! Out - literally! - of the indoors & out of our brain that we let isolate us for sooo long: We will call this Day 1 of what will be our 1000 Baby Steps to Back to The Outdoors Project.
